My first ever poem- The Clock

Hey friends! This time I here to show you my creation. I mean my first poem! :P Hope you like it!!

The Clock

I am useful to all
Dwarfs, long and small
I own two golden hands

With different color bands

Here live twelve characters
Without whom
I am a mere actor
One hand extra moving faster
And battery makes me last longer

Different shapes I possess
I am people's easy access
I hang on a wall or sit on a shelf
Just like a serene couched elf!!!

I hope you enjoyed it!

Tight Schedule

Ha!! I know its been a long time since I have updated my 'golb'. Almost 3 weeks.

So now when I am back let me tell you WHY there weren't any posts from my side!! And here goes the ONE-WORD ANSWER- 11th :'(

First day in school was amazing. Ummm.. most of my friends won't agree on that. But I thoroughly enjoyed the first day. Although it wasnt the SAME class I used to study. As most of my friends had decided to continue in the same school, there wasnt any problem in adjusting. But as days went past, it was getting more difficult to cope up with the studies rather than the new class. New class didnt bother me much but the textbooks!! :P

And to my disappointment, first day our Principal announced that she had been transferred and in a few days new Principal would be coming. Gosh... everything NEW!!! Let me repeat what all new-new class, new textbooks, new teachers and now to my dismay NEW PRINCIPAL!!! As my friend says, HOW LAME!! :D

And then again, there was a 'heart-breaking' announcement!! ...next week your UT starts... Although I never listen to announcements on stage, this phrase went penetrating into my mind and compelled me to listen to it. What a feeling it was! Good or Bad?? I think you are intellegent enough to guess it! Right??

No doubt my first week went bad. Gradually, we got used to the new Principal who turned out to be good!! ;) And consequently, I was busy with 1st UT preparations. And yes.. I am STILL busy with it!! ;)

PS:
No. My parents dont force me to study over-night and stuffs.

I dont answer much in class. And my name is not Nikhil too!! ;)

And many of the subjects above we dont have @ all!! muahah!! :P

Its All About Nature!!!

Hey friends! Sometimes don't you wonder how exactly Nature works?! How does a very small seed grows into such a huge tree? How does a bud (which seems to suddenly grow on some part of the plant, most of the times between many leaves ) grows and turns into such beautiful flower? How each fruit gets its distinctive color? How does the fruit smell so pleasant? How does it have distinctive aroma? And these questions just go on continuing without an END. People say its all about Nature. And also creation of god. Some say Nature is God and others God is nature. I am not sure about this puzzle but whoever created such beauties takes a bow from me. I experienced a situation which left me with my mouth opened. I was speechless. I could feel the aroma spreading into the whole room and then into my hall. My mom nurtured it with water everyday. With intense love and care, my mom used to put vegetable peels and fertilizer. Yes!! You got me right. I am talking about a plant. Hmm.. Before explaining my experience let me tell you which plant it is and what is or rather *are* its specialties.

Brahmakamal or Queen Of The Night or Epiphyllum Oxypetalum. As the picture shows its pure white in color. It has a very pleasant fragrance. The plant comes from a cactus family. The buds of the flower arises from the leaves. The flower blooms once in a year. Not only that! It blooms ONLY at night. The color of its fruit is purplish-red.

So What exactly happened was that one beautiful morning when I woke up, to my surprise, I could see a few buds on some leaves of my plant. From that day I used to watch the plant carefully. And to my dismay, each day a bud used to fall off. And finally there wasn't any buds left but one. And then I had to satisfy myself with the only bud and, as usual, started watching it carefully everyday, though it was my mum who used to water it. It grew everyday to certain extent. And for me, who never saw any plant like that, it was an excitement.

Days past... And the bud grew into a larger bud.

And guess what!?!? One morning suddenly the bud opened a little. I thought, till tomorrow night, the flower will fully bloom. But, as I had no idea about the plant at all, the flower started blooming the same day and at night it fully bloomed. The fragrance spread into my room. And I was enjoying the feeling.

While getting onto the bed, I had a final glimpse of the flower. Next morning, something unexpected happened. The flower withered. I was regretting to have not seen it bloom. But then I thought there are few more buds which will bloom.

PS: I got the information about the the plant in detail after all this happened. I switched on my laptop and started reading about it the very next morning. It was then I got to know that the blooming of the flowers is an annual phenomena. And the buds, which have grown now, with fall off and its only in the year 2010 i will be able to watch the
beauty.

Hopefully next time I can watch it bloom.

The Other Stall

This is one of the random mails I received. Loved it. So here it is. Hope you all love it!! :-)

This could happen to you!

I was barely sitting down when I heard a voice from the other stall saying:
'Hi, how are you?'

I'm not the type to start a conversation in the restroom. I don't know what got into me, but I answered, somewhat embarrassed, 'Doin' just fine!'

And the other person says:
'So what are you up to?'

What kind of question is that? At that point, I'm thinking this is too bizarre so I say:
'Uhhh, I'm like you, just sitting here.'

At this point I am just trying to get out as fast as I can when I hear another question:
'Can I come over?'

Ok, this question is just too weird for me. I figured I could politely end the conversation. I say:
'No........I'm a little busy right now!!!'

Then I hear the person say, nervously:
'Listen, I'll have to call you back. There's an idiot in the other stall who keeps answering all my questions!!'

Zoozoo is zoo zweet!! :P

Vodafone advertisements have always been popular. Remember when the pug used to follow the school bus? When it used to help the little girl with her homework. Oh goodness... it was really very cute. And now Vodafone has come up with another of its distinctive kind. And I am sure you guys are not at all wondering what it is! Yes.. you got me right!

Zoozoos! The egg-shaped-head, the round body, the cute walking style, the different language has attracted a million viewers. Besides DLF IPL, people have got another excuse of getting glued to Television Sets keeping aside all their work.

As everyone wondered what they actually were, its all cleared now that its NOT an animation but real humans. They are the belle dancers from Mumbai (as people say, but as per my knowledge they are from an Asian country) On the whole there are 30 ads shooted. It means many are still to come! :D

I feel these kinds of ads attract more and more viewers. They not only attract kids but almost all the adults appreciate the creative idea by Indian Animators. They are really very cut, adorable, creative and innovative.

Let me tell you something really very funny. I used to never watch cricket. But now whenever I am inside the room with my chore and if at all I happen to hear Zoozoo's sound I go running to the hall o watch and then sit down and watch cricket with so much of enthusiasm and interest. And thanks to Zoozoo for this change. :P

And another interesting thing about Zoozoo being the large number of fan-following. Facebook has got the official Zoozoo fan club (Neo@Ogilvy, the digital arm of O&M, which is managing the Zoozoo Facebook brand page) has till now 125,264 fans. Wow.. when I joined a day back it was onlt 80 000 and now!! This shows how Zoozoo has managed to create its magic over almost everyone.

Anyways I always used to love cartoons, and now I have got another (not-so) animation!

I simply appreciate their creativity, innovation and hope they attract more and more and more viewers ( I think ony a few more are left! :P )

The Excitement I Can't Bear Anymore!

Hello friends! I am back after quite a few days. :P This time I am not at all thinking about the old ways when I was preparing fro my boards. Nor am I bothered about what goes on in mind after the exams.

So, this title tells you what? No...! I am just not excited about my marks. No...!! Not that excited about the new session. Hmmm.... ummm... ok ok.. will stop thinking so much about it and will reveal it. Its kind of kiddish but then its a very good feeling which goes through my mind each and every time during the whole day.

About a 15-20 days back, my brother visited US for a summit held at Stanford University. He was there for almost a week or so. And like any other sister, I had my own list without even thinking of whether he would be able to get those. Not even thinking of his strain, I made my own huge list which had many things. From a Swatch watch to a Ferero Rocher. From bags to shoes. From jeans to umbrella and this list just goes on and on and on. But then when I came to my senses, keeping my excitement apart, I realized that we get almost everything here. And also realized how irritating it would be to bring all those which we get in India itself. Then, spending a sleepless night I somehow (with great great difficulty) managed to cut off quite a few things from the list. I searched for somethings on an American Online Shopping site and (you believe it or not) the new list had entirely different stuffs in it. Not even a single old one.

I called up my brother and mailed him some things. He being busy ended up replying me with one or two words which made my excitement grow to the core. And finally on some particular day, he called me up and said he was going for shopping to San Francisco which made me quite happy.

And now he is back. Its almost 7-8 days since he is back and I still don't know what surprise is waiting for me.He being very surprising, keeps black mailing me and wants me to wait and wait and wait. And me being impatient asks him almost everyday to reveal the stuffs or let me know when he is coming. My heart thumps with excitement everyday. And if I happen to ask more he yells at me :P but still I keep asking him!! Keeping fingers crossed, I hope to get the BEST. Although I am sure he would have brought me something or the other because I know how caring and loving he is and would never make me sad!! :-)

The Life Before Boards!! :-)

As soon as I got the 9th standard results and got started with new academic session nothing was there in my mind except for the new textbooks. Teachers on first day asked us to be serious about boards but we had absolutely no idea about how 10th is. Then gradually we started having monthly tests , pre-boards etc...

In between we were tried to be made serious. Question papers distributed, mock tests, presentations, extra-classes, study materials and this list never ends. Then finally when the date-sheets were out I felt a little that yes!! Teachers were right!! Its do or die for us!! But this excitement too faded in 2-3 days.

Then what?!?! My regular studies started. It was the very same way I used to do in other classes. Then gradually the days were near and first was SSc (The subject which I m very scared of). This was the first time I was going to face boards and was quite scared. But then when I went to the exam hall and was reading the question paper I felt boards are just like any other exams or rather I should say easier than others. But yes!! SSc as usual was tough for me.

Then came Sanskrit the subject you need to learn the least but remember a lot! It went easily. Then came maths, English and finally Science all went quite satisfactorily. And like any other students I had my own plans of stuffs to be done after exams. But whenever I thought about it I felt as if the days are going slowly. And finally there was 30th of March. The final day of one of the hurdles(quite easier one) approached and I was very reluctant to study anything and was waiting for the list that I had created to be completed. But then somehow the exam got over and I was a free-bird again.

And now nothing special or exciting going on. But then there are three months. Lets do it slowly man!! Take it easy!! :P

So on the whole there wasn't anything serious with me before exams.

Then there was a situation which every 10th standard student would have gone through soon after exams. My cousin (now in 10th) is worried about her boards and was asking me for some advice and I had absolutely nothing to say. But then when I remember my old days I felt pity for her and adviced her not to be worried even a single bit and study the very same way she used to in other classes.

ALL THE VERY BEST TO ALL THE 10th AND 12th STANDARD STUDENTS WAITING FOR THE RESULTS!!

Young Talent!

Hmm.... You must be wondering why have I suddenly started to talk about YOUNG TALENTS...!!?!
There are loads and loads of young children and teens getting into the world of glamour and fashion and but there's a child or rather I must say a BABY which is a born-talent has won almost each and every Indian's heart or probably each and every person's heart all over the globe....
That baby has got all the talents which even the greatest actor at her age would not have had...

Just imagine what could you do at the age of 2 years...?!?
Can't imagine right??
You must be wondering at the age of 2, children can somehow manage to talk and walk...
But that God's wonder can do much more than that..... In front of cameras, acting so well is a real talent. Isn't it??
By now you must have got me right???
Its the child who is playing the character of Krishna in "Jai Shri Krishna" which is on air on "Colors"...

Hmm.... so... how many of you watch this show??
Probably 99.99% of you....and during my day I never hesitate to watch TV for half an hour just to have a glimpse at that cute and adorable baby...

When it can do wonders at the age of 2... imagine what it can do when it grows...?!?!

The way it acts...the way it dances....the way it walks... each and everything it does is so much adorable that my eyes just stick to the TV set but the advertisements in the middle of shows reminds me of my eyes that have to be taken care of.... :P

Uh huh... I said so much about it but didn't specify its name.... How silly!! :P
Its Drishti Bhatia...
Hmmm... you must now be wondering baap re!! Aisa kya hai uss bachi mein...?!?
For that my reply is somewhere hidden in the whole thing I wrote till now....

I watch it everyday as I told not to only have a glimpse at the baby but to refresh my mind after the hectic day at school and after I am finished up with all my homeworks and studies!!!

Hmmm....so with that I would like to end this blog and would prefer you to watch it everyday not just to have a glimpse at the baby but to refresh your minds.... :)

Whats Maths!

Maths!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What do you think is maths???
Many of you might think that it is just a subject which is very much painful.
But thats not so.. Not at all yaar!!! Too much of dedication and hard work towards this so-called difficult subject. Let me tell you a very simple story. When you start reading and when you are on the third or fourth line you will get to know the end of the story.. But still this story is meant for those who still struggle to overcome the mathematics exam fear!! For those who who never accept the fact that hard work is a must for success. Success never knocks at your door steps. You, after overcoming all the problems, should get into the success's house and should request for it to visit your house once...

Ok!!!! Now the story goes this way-

In Delhi, there was a girl, who now is a 10th grade stud, who was so scared of Maths that before going for the test-a class test, she used to spend a sleepless nights. oooooppppppppssssss!!!!!! Very scared. Actually she had an exam fear and still she has. Then one day her mother was just so worried about this silly fact that she went to her daughter and told the success funda. Work hard till you succeed dear! Never mind if u get less marks! But work hard. And yes friends forgot to tell you! That girl simply used to get scared but she got good marks. But only thing is she was slow in maths which was a fear for the future. Yes!!!! Her mother forced her very affectionately to practice maths. Slowly and steadily, that girl became so good in maths that she started becoming the topper. And till now he is very good in maths. Only thing is she cannot be the topper because of competetion. But she is not a loser. She still struggles and struggles to become the topper. She is not a topper now but because of having faith in God she still feels some or the other day the history will repeat and she WILL be the topper!!!

From this small story we get two morals-
Firstly, hard word is the key to success.
Secondly, always listen to mom. :P

So will u now word hard? Not only for maths... but for alllllllll subjects..

Lets go GREEN!!! ***T***

BANGALORE!!! The most polluted city in India.. And why not? The vehicles, the industries... oh! Any way to reduce this? Yes! If people like to do so... But HOW??? Lets see!

Hmm.......
Oh yes... got one.......
Stop using vehicles... But this is not possible! The thing we cant do why to think about that? All this because we have become slaves to machines and automobiles. We cannot obviously stay without our owners right? They are the one who make our lives possible.
Fine! Lets think of some other way..
.
.
.
Ya! I think we can use battery run vehicles. Yes!!! This is possible. Obviously possible. Why not? We will loose nothing but will gain. We will gain extra life-time. Ya! So this is the first point.
.
.
.
Next...
Use fluorescent bulbs. Cheap, effective and no ill-effects. Great right? So lets use that...
.
.
.
Arrey I forgot! The main thing. PLANT TREES!!! This is an eco-friendly way and most effective way!
.
.
.
Next...
Can we stop using Plastics? Yes! Why not? That wont effect our so-called luxurious life at all. We can use cloth-bags. This is also eco-friendly and is a cheap way also. We can use it for a long time. These plastics are non-biodegradable. But there are some people who cannot stay without plastics. They also have a way. Now-a-days there are plastics which are eco-friendly. They get decomposed within 30 days. Great yaar! So why not use that?
.
.
.
Can we cancel junks. Not everybody but somebody can obviously do that..
.
.
.
Here are some ways which may be difficult but are very effective. Lets see what are those?
.
.
1.Use solar water heaters
2.Choose energy efficient appliances
3.Use public transport.
4.Walk
5.Car pooling
6.Awareness.
7. Use organic fruits and vegetables!
.
.
.
.
Now that we got some ways, so, why not follow that? Please do follow and have a long life.

Life is a continuous learning process.

Life is a continuous learning process... Don't you think this is true? Even a very small incident can change our life and teach something that we never thought of learning... Here I am presenting an incident which really satisfies each and every word I mentioned...
When I visited a temple somewhere near Mysore, my friend's family and my family, when climbing upstairs came across one of the beggars who were lined up near the steps. My friend's father who is a chain smoker quit smoking after the small incident that took place. When a beggar begged for two rupees, my uncle, smoking refused to give even a single paise. Then while going the beggar spoke softly,"How mean this world is? A person can spend amounts of money on the thing that is harmful but cannot share even a single paise for needy." When my uncle heard this he was shocked and was was left spellbound.. While praying same thing was coming to his mind,"She is correct! Was she pointing to my habit of smoking. Oh really its too bad of me.. I could have given her. If at all i come across that poor lady again i will give her." With this hope he came out and fortunately he saw that poor lady and asked her why she needed money? She replied back saying," From two days I am searching for 1 rupee. There's a lady who gives us food for 1 rupee."
Hearing this my uncle gave two rupees to her.
While we were returning from dinner, we happened to see that lady sitting under the tree and eating. Same time a small boy came to her and asked for a rupee. Instead of refusing as she only had less money she gave off the another 1 rupee that i had given her.. That lady doesn't know whether she will get money to eat tomorrow or not, still without any selfishness, like a good human being gave off the money. Then it was confirmed that there is still some kindness left in the world.
From that day my uncle stopped smoking and helped any good person who he came across with.
'That lady is really great'.

I AM NOT WELL............ :(

Oh... this cough, throat pain, and high fever.... how painful is this! Unbearable... I feel its the punishment god gives us for being a human... Can't even have some days leave from school as I am the one who will be waiting for the CBSE 10th board results... Got it right?

Our Silicon City's weather is so unpredictable. This city gives me so much of happiness but sometimes I don't know what happens to this and makes me unwell. Sometimes cold and suddenly so hot...

From about 2 weeks I am suffering from this painful illness... I know you all will think this gal is so weak that she can't bear a small fever but I would like to say that the one who suffers knows the pain and if one day you feel the same way you will surely remember me and tell how correct am I :)

Say No To 'XXXXXCigaretteXXXXX'

Now-a-days, if you see around you can see 1 out of every 5 (average)person will be smoking. When I see anybody smoking, a sort of shock hits my mind. When government is stressing on ban on smoking then why don't people stop that dreadful and fateful act? This really bothers me and today morning when I was just walking down the street I observed a person choking and coughing while smoking. This act made or I should say compelled me to write this.

As I told earlier Govt is struggling to ban this by conducting awareness programmes but still there are some people who still smoke. I feel sorry for them and feel like telling to stop so that others can survive. Do you know the effect of smoking obviously effects the one who smokes but also the one who inhales the smoke.

First of all, Mother Nature has warned to to stop exploiting her otherwise she will destroy earth along with us. Most of the pollutants are SO2, CO2, NO2... Which are given out while smoking. This confirms that smoking is one of the reasons causing pollution. If you don't know the constituents of cigarette, you can glance the image here. May be then this can be stopped...

If still people cannot understand the ill-effects of smoking then unfortunately we all will have to get ready to face a very dreadful and painful future. If not we then probably our next generation Whoever it is one thing is for sure that Nature is not going to spare us or forgive us for the pain we are causing her now.

ITS NOW OR NEVER....So please think about this once more and if possible, to some extent, stop this...

Fat Experience!!! ;D

Every morning I get up early to get ready to go to school. I get up,take bath, eat yummy home-made food and get to the bus-stand. I wait impatiently for the bus to arrive and till the bus comes the whole bus-stand will be full of college students and school students but some will be...Then when the bus arrives at last the whole bus-stand gets into one poor rickety bus which gives only strain till i reach the destination (my school).Sometimes, fortunately I get a bus which can give some sort of pleasure while travelling. But most of the time i will get a bus as crowded as possible which doesn't only have less space and more passengers but also to my fate the conductor and the driver will be as rude and aggresive as possible. And yes how can I forget about the fa* people who get into the bus wich is first of so crowded and raise their volume as high as possible to push us. When they move they stamp our so-called polished shoes, push us and our bag and yes they totally roll us up :) also pull our hair. Till we reach school, we will be half exhausted by struggling with all the strange kind of experiences.

Getting down the bus by pushing all those who are not allowing us to do so is another hurdle I pass through. Oh...thinking about this makes me so tired.
This is what I got through each and everyday till I m a school going teen.I apologize if i have hurt anybody. But this is the experience I go through everyday and this really bothers me.

I request you not to take this seriously. I am just trying to be humorous by the actual fact i go through...

How To Stay Fit????

In this busy world, it has become very difficult for people to stay fit. That’s why now-a-days they have become so conscious and aware of ill effects of getting obese. So they are approaching towards those methods which have so many negative effects on us. Take for example the diet they are taking in their day-to-day life.
Just because they will grow fat they are eating less food or are skipping the important meals of the day. They skip BREAKFAST just to ensure that eating in the morning may not lead to obesity. But nothing is as dangerous as this. So there are other simple ways in life to stay fit some of which are mentioned below-
NEVER skip breakfast, lunch and dinner. These are the most important meals of the day which each and every person should never skip.
NEVER overeat. This may lead to indigestion. Eat after every 4 hours. Stomach should never be left empty for long time.
DRINK plenty of water. If you just adopt the habit of drinking lots and lots of water u can stay fit and avoid dehydration. At least you should take 8 glasses of water a day.
Go for morning walks everyday. This will burn lots of Cholesterol and u will stay fit for a longer time.
Practice YOGA everyday. If do not have enough time for this just practice MEDITATION everyday. This will improve your mental strength and health.
NEVER eat food while watching TV. Always concentrate on your food while consuming. Not on something else.
Include salads in your diet.
Avoid drinking cold water soon after a meal. This will solidify the fat content in the body and the rate of digestion becomes very slow.
Also include sprouts in your diet. They are very very good for your health.
Avoid eating outside. They contain too much of fat and cholesterol which are very bad for your health. Try eating home made food. Also avoid frozen food. They contain preservatives which can have ill effects on your body if they are in excess amount.
If you adopt these simple habits you can stay fit. These is better than spending large amounts of money on those gyms and weight loosing centres which demands large amounts of money and do very little. At least not as much as these good habits do.

Is There No FULL STOP?

How long will this go now? First it was students and now even teachers? Ohhhh...Yes!U got me right? Its the reservation fever going on in and around our Indian Government. Now i think i u dont need an more of exaggeration.I think i can directly come to the point.
Dont you think this is too much now? They are going out of their limits and we have no more patience. First of all,the student reservation quota has created a havoc in the young minds of students who are working day and night to achieve their long desire of getting into IITs and IIMs and the government day by day increasing the reserved seats. If they really want to upbringthe ndian Society by reserving seats for backward classes, they can reserve seats for poor then...Why reservation for rich backward classes. What is the use then.If there are no canditates getting into the institutionthe seats reserved for them will be of no use.It will get wasted. Then? Those aspiring students will fell so bad that some students who are too sensitive and are concious will do something which will make their parents feel so bad and lifeless.I think u got me what i m trying to say.Now i think there should be reservation for general category candidates as only backward calsses are ruling everywhere.Everywhere!!!If this kind of system remains unchanged then the citizens wont be ashamed of saying that their country is not at all demacratic. If there was democracy then there would have been equality in each and every term. Why is there no sociel equality in India? Is this fair? No.
And now we have another kind of reservation.Guess what?Reservation for faculty.Obviously enough to spoil the reputation of india. And more than that enough to spoil the reputation of IITs and IIMs.Isnt this true?I know most of you will support what i said.A question that always raises in my mind is that is the Indian Government sitting over there working for india or against it.They want to spoil India or want to raise it to the topmost level at global level. What to tell about this? There are no words to express my views any more.I just want to say or i should say i request the Indian Government to stop this thing they are doing. All know that now their hungry stomach for moneyand votes or we should say in simple words their greed for money and votes have made them blind and are doing anything and everything to get more and maore money and to destroy India in terms of democracy.
STOP IT!!PLEASE PLEASE STOP IT NOW.ITS TOO MUCH.TOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!
Cheers

My Best Experience

Ohhh...
Wat a gr8 fun i had these summer holidays...As usual,in these summer holidays also we went to my mom's house in PUTTUR-heaven on earth. But this time for some important marriages. But this was not the the usual one for me..It was, till now,the best trip i had there..
We had loads and loads of fun..We played LAGORRI,CRICKET,CARDS and blah blah blah...
All the cousins of mine for the first time had assembled there.Otherwise everytime they will be having exams or wen they come i will be having exams..
But this time as i told it was very unusual and special for me..
We ate all kinds of delicasies made by my aunty-GREAT COOK...But wen the day to come back home approached nearer my heart was filled with sadness and a thought wud run thru my mind that wat will i do going home?Wen i reach there, there will be only homeworks left for me to do.How boring that would be?
But when we were back ,I grew used to my old life wich is thrilling, fun filled and adventurous...
This is the trip, till my last breath,i can never ever forget...I hope everytime my trip to my native will be as much fun filled as of this time.(i m sure this's not possible. This is the unique one)...
